What Is a QR Code Necklace? The Future of Sentimental Jewellery

Jewellery has always been about more than how it looks.

A name, date or small engraving can carry a huge amount of meaning.

A QR code necklace takes that idea one step further by linking a physical piece of jewellery to a digital page that can hold memories, information or a story.

At EdenLily, selected personalised necklaces can include a unique QR code engraved directly onto the jewellery.

What Is a QR Code Necklace?

A QR code necklace is a piece of jewellery with a small QR code engraved onto it.

When the code is scanned using a compatible smartphone camera, it opens a digital page linked to that individual piece.

Instead of being limited to the space available on the pendant, the jewellery can connect to much more information online.

That could include photographs, a biography, important medical details or another web page entirely.

How Does an EdenLily QR Necklace Work?

Each eligible QR necklace has its own unique code.

When the jewellery is received, the QR code can be scanned and claimed through an EdenLily account.

Once claimed, the owner can choose what the QR code opens and manage the page from their account.

What Can the QR Code Link To?

EdenLily currently offers four page types.

Memory Page

A Memory Page allows you to create events and upload photographs connected to important moments.

You could use it for:

Birthdays

Weddings

Family memories

Holidays

Anniversaries

Memorials

A standard Memory Page currently includes space for up to 40 photographs.

Additional storage options are available if you need more space.

Biography

A Biography page gives you somewhere to tell a person's story.

It could be used for:

A personal biography

A family story

A memorial tribute

A life history

A written keepsake

This can be a meaningful option when you want the jewellery to connect to more than just photographs.

Medical Details

The Medical Details page can be used to store important information that you choose to make accessible through the QR code.

This may include:

Allergies

Medical conditions

Blood type

Emergency contact details

Other important information

Privacy settings should always be reviewed carefully when adding personal or medical information.

Forwarding Link

A Forwarding Link sends anyone scanning the QR code directly to another web address.

This could be:

A wedding website

A charity page

A social profile

An online photo gallery

A memorial page

Another website of your choice

Can I Change What My QR Code Opens?

Yes.

You can manage your QR page through your EdenLily account and update it as your needs change.

You can also change the page type linked to your QR code.

This means the jewellery can continue to be useful even if the reason you originally created the page changes over time.

Can Other People Add Photos?

Yes, if you choose to enable visitor photo uploads on a Memory Page.

This allows friends and family to contribute their own photographs when they scan the QR code.

Visitor-uploaded photographs count towards the available storage on the page.

The account owner remains responsible for managing the content.

How Long Is My QR Page Stored?

The initial storage period for an EdenLily QR page is 24 months from the date the page is first claimed.

Before the storage period ends, renewal reminders are sent to the email address registered to the account.

The page can then be renewed for additional 12-month periods.

For full details, please read the EdenLily QR & Memory Page Storage Policy.

Why Choose a QR Code Necklace?

A QR code necklace can hold far more meaning than can physically fit on a piece of jewellery.

You can still personalise the necklace with a name, date, initial or message, while the QR code connects to the bigger story behind it.

It can be used to remember someone, celebrate a milestone, share family memories or keep important information close by.

QR Necklaces as Memorial Jewellery

QR jewellery can be especially meaningful as a memorial keepsake.

A name or date can be engraved onto the necklace, while the QR code can connect to photographs or a written biography.

This gives family and friends a way to revisit memories whenever they choose.

QR Necklaces for Birthdays and Anniversaries

A QR necklace doesn't have to be used for memorials.

It can also make a personal gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, weddings or other special occasions.

You could create a Memory Page filled with family photographs or use a Forwarding Link to send the recipient somewhere meaningful online.

QR Necklaces for Family Memories

A Memory Page can be used to collect photographs from different moments over time.

You could create events for:

Birthdays

Christmases

Family holidays

New babies

Weddings

Graduations

Everyday moments

If visitor uploads are enabled, other family members can contribute their own photographs too.

A Modern Way to Keep Memories Close

Traditional personalised jewellery captures a moment through an engraving.

QR jewellery gives you another way to tell the story behind that engraving.

The necklace remains something physical you can wear, while the digital page can hold more of the memories, information and meaning connected to it.

It brings together something personal, something wearable and something that can continue to evolve over time.

Memories you can wear.
Stories you can share.
